SurfVault Giveaways — Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

These Official Rules govern the SurfVault Film Contest and the SurfVault Custom Surfboard Giveaway (together, the “Promotion”). By entering, you agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters.

1. Sponsor

The Promotion is sponsored by SurfVault, LLC, 7901 4th St N, Ste 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702 (“Sponsor”, “SurfVault”, “we”, “us”). The Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Meta, Apple, or Google.

2. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia, subject to the following age requirements:

• Film Contest: entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
• Surfboard Giveaway: entrants must be at least 13 years of age at the time of entry. Entrants who are under 18 (or otherwise under the age of majority where they reside) may enter and win only with the consent and participation of a parent or legal guardian, who must agree to these Official Rules on the minor’s behalf, sign all documents required of a winner, and accept the prize on the minor’s behalf.

Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, and their immediate family and household members, are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3. Entry Period

The Promotion is open for entries through August 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (the “Entry Deadline”). Any genuine surf session uploaded to SurfVault on or before the Entry Deadline is eligible. Sponsor’s server clock is the official timekeeper.

4. How to Enter

Entry is free. To enter: (1) download the SurfVault app (iOS, Android) or use the web app at app.surf-vault.com; (2) create a free account; and (3) upload one or more genuine surf sessions on or before the Entry Deadline. There are two prizes with separate entry mechanics:

• Film Contest (judged): Surfers and photographers who upload sessions are considered for the film prize based on the quality and story of their uploads (see Section 6).
• Surfboard Giveaway (random): Any entrant who has uploaded at least 5 genuine sessions by the Entry Deadline is automatically entered into a random drawing. Entrants who are 13–17 may enter only with a parent or legal guardian’s consent (see Section 2).

Uploading more sessions may increase consideration for the Film Contest but does not increase odds in the random Surfboard drawing beyond meeting the 5-session threshold. Automated, bulk, fraudulent, or non-genuine uploads will be disqualified.

5. Prizes

Film Contest: Sponsor will select two (2) surfers and two (2) photographers to be featured in SurfVault’s first surf film, including a trip to a destination in Central America. Sponsor covers lodging/accommodations for the winner’s stay. Flights, transportation to and from the destination, passport and travel documents, meals not expressly provided, travel insurance, and all other incidentals are the winner’s sole responsibility. Trip dates are coordinated with winners and are currently targeted for September 2026; dates are not guaranteed and are subject to Sponsor’s production schedule. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of each film prize: $1,500.

Surfboard Giveaway: One (1) custom surfboard from a SurfVault partner shaper, awarded to one randomly selected entrant. ARV: $495. Board specifications are at the shaper’s and Sponsor’s discretion.

Total ARV of all prizes: $6,495. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and have no cash equivalent. No substitution except by Sponsor, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Limit one (1) prize per person and per household across the entire Promotion.

6. Winner Selection

Film Contest (skill-based): A panel of SurfVault team members will review eligible uploads and select winners based on the following criteria: surf/photography quality, creativity, and the story of the sessions. Selection will occur on or about September 5, 2026. Decisions are final. In the event of a tie, the entry judged highest on quality will prevail.

Surfboard Giveaway (chance): One winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entrants on or about September 5, 2026. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. Winner Notification

Winners will be notified via the SurfVault app and/or the email associated with their account. Winners may be required to verify eligibility and to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, and (where lawful) a publicity release within 7 days of notification. Where a winner is a minor, these documents must be completed and signed by the winner’s parent or legal guardian, who must also consent to the prize award. If a winner cannot be contacted, declines, is found ineligible, or fails to return required documents within 7 days, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

8. Film Trip Conditions

Film winners must already hold a valid passport (and any other required travel documents) at the time of winner selection; given the production timeline, there will not be time to obtain one after selection. A selected winner who cannot present a valid passport within the verification window in Section 7 will forfeit the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected. Film winners must also be able to travel on the coordinated dates; comply with all applicable travel and health requirements; and travel at their own risk. Surfing and travel involve inherent risks, and by accepting the prize the winner assumes all such risks and agrees to sign a waiver and assumption-of-risk release as a condition of participation.

9. Content, Likeness & Publicity

You retain ownership of the content you upload. By accepting a Film Contest prize, the winner grants Sponsor the irrevocable, worldwide right to film the winner during the trip and to use the resulting footage, the winner’s name, likeness, voice, and submitted content in the film and in related promotional and marketing materials, in all media now known or later developed, with credit and without additional compensation. For entrants who do not win, Sponsor will request permission before featuring their content in any SurfVault edit or film. Where any winner or featured creator is a minor, the rights and permissions described in this Section must be granted by the minor’s parent or legal guardian.

10. General Conditions

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant it believes has tampered with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion, or has acted in violation of these Rules. Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Promotion if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs its integrity.

11. Release & Limitation of Liability

By entering, you release and hold harmless Sponsor and its officers, members, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages arising from participation in the Promotion or acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize, including travel and surfing-related injury, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Taxes

All taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners. Because the Film Contest prize is valued at $600 or more, each film winner will be required to provide a completed IRS Form W-9, and Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099 reporting the value of the prize. The Surfboard Giveaway prize is valued under $600, so no Form 1099 will be issued for it; it nonetheless remains taxable income that the winner is responsible for reporting. For a minor winner, any required Form W-9 must be completed by, and any Form 1099 issued in the name of, the minor’s parent or legal guardian. Sponsor does not pay or reimburse winners’ taxes.

13. Privacy

Information collected from entrants is subject to SurfVault’s Privacy Policy.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Except where prohibited, entrants agree that any disputes will be resolved individually, without resort to class action.

15. Void Where Prohibited

The Promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
